Beautiful views worth the climb there.

Beautiful and impressive in how good condition the monastery is. Hence also worth paying the entry fee of 6 Euro... simply seeing the cross and the view is only half the experience.

Beautiful when the sun goes down

Where there is a cross, there is an observation platform from where a stunning view of the island opens, everything is in full view. Admission to the cross is free, you need to pay 6 euros to the monastery. Nearby are many peacocks that you can feed. You can buy the famous 7 herbs liquor, but it seemed expensive

A place that is definitely worth visiting. It costs 6 euros admission. It is still relatively well preserved and a large area. The big cross impressive. The view up there is the madness. It would be even better if you could still see a few rooms. And we lacked a little the descriptions or explanations.

Great view. You have to go there, especially late in the afternoon in order to see the sunset. There are an ancient fountain, a giant cross over 18 meters, a monastery and a replica of the painting of Holy Mary of Filerimos.

Beautiful views, great place

Nice place for a view over Rhodes. Think that the entry price is way too much for what's on offer. Half the price of Lindos acropolis but basically not much to see.

Filerimos is highly recommended to visit if you are in Rhodes. Beautiful view from the top of the mountain over the north coast of the island. You can clearly see Turkey on the other side. The military airport and the normal airport can both be seen from the mountain Filerimos.Walk in a quiet forest environment and close with a cool drink at the kiosk while 10-peacocks walk through the tables.You can also visit the old monastery (6 euro p.p. entrance), but we have not done that.

Filerimos mountain with a 18 meter cross is one of the business cards of Rhodes. The path to the cross takes exactly the distance that Christ walked on Calvary. Very beautiful place!

A fantastic place. It's worth getting there on foot, but I recommend driving around 8 minutes by car, it is a much longer trip on foot. The view is amazing and there are beautiful peacocks. recommend

If anyone feels strong, it's worth getting on foot and climbing up some stony paths, then walking like a sea eye. You can reach the hill easily by car. Ruins without much rage and you have to pay a few euros for the entrance, but the park is visited by wild peacocks and it makes an impression. In addition, it is worth going for beautiful views of the whole area.

Filerimos is situated between Rhodes town and the airport, in the city of Ialysos , on the west side of the island. Drive all the way up the hill and once you get on the top you can park your car there and continue on foot. On the left side stands the medieval church and the ruins of Athena's temple and on the right side a long path which leads to a huge cross and a balcony that allows you to take some great panoramic photos.

Beautiful view over Rhodes. Not very much to experience here, but it's worth the time. There are also a lot of 'wild' peacocks there. My little boy was amazed by them. :) They are not dangerous. There is also a monastery you can visit. Costs a few euro's but it's worth the money. Beautiful place.

Wonderful place to visit with children. Shady alley. Peacocks live on Mount Filerimos, so grab a treat for them for a good photo. At the end of the alley is an observation deck with a cross. A magical view of the Aegean Sea and the coast of Turkey.

Impressive place! A must-go monument in Rhodes island.

We climbed the homonymous mountain from which you can enjoy a wonderful panorama on the east coast of Rhodes. The 267 meters high mountain can be reached from the town of ialissos. Here is the monastery which has a spectacular cloister and the basilica famous because the icon of the virgin of Filerimos was kept here. Today there is only one copy while the original is located in St. Petersburg.

It is worthwhile visiting whoever goes to Rhodes! From the church of Panagia the historical part up to the imposing 11 meter cross that is still visible from the airport with a breathtaking view! You can also make your walk between the peacocks which are very friendly and pose for unique shots!

The main attraction of this mountain is a huge cross, 16 meters high, to which you walk along a scenic path, beautiful cypress trees grow on both sides of the path and peacocks walk majestically. This path is called "The Way to Calvary" The guide told the legend that it was precisely this distance that Jesus Christ traveled to Golgotha ​​with a cross on his shoulders. At the top of the mountain there is an observation deck, from here a beautiful view of the island and the cape opens.

Beautiful destination. We are always very happy up here. The most beautiful are the old buildings of the monastery and the fortress. There are a lot of trusting peacocks that can become quite affectionate ☺ and a wonderful view over the whole island. It's worth it!!!

The cross of Filerimus is on the hill on the west of the town of Rhodes. Crossed inside can be accessed and then climb up the stairs to admire the scenery. There, the cross was closed while the hill was opened.In the vicinity of the cross there was also an old monastery and many peacocks.
